Probus to Okehampton - Day 2 (22 May)

Nice early start at 0815 - left Cornwall heading for the Devon border with some help from the south westerly wind and the sun trying hard to shine!

Headed along the Atlantic Highway and made it to Camelford (22miles) by 1000. Ignored the high wind and overcast sky to enjoy an ice cream - Sue's favourite treat a Magnum - because that's what you do when you are on your holidays!

Quick top up with snacks and it was uphill all the way to a lunchtime stop, having completed another 20 miles by 1215... Back on the road by 1310 for more long uphill roads! Arrived at Okehampton at 1600.

We said farewell to Beverley and Marie who are heading back to Cheltenham to start baking ready for next week, so that we can keep the snack wagon topped up for our hungry cyclists!

Another good days cycling and spirits still high, especially now that we are 120 miles from Land's End.

Average speed today: 13.4 mph
Total distance covered: 65.92 miles
Overall cycling time 4hrs 54 mins
Pete's pint of the day: An Howl
